I have so many other things I should be doing other than updating the blog... But here I am, procrastinating as usual. Besides, the first two weeks of May have been pretty busy for us. A good busy though!!
Andy's 31st birthday was a couple of weekends ago. We started out by going to Willie's on Friday for dinner. Saturday was a productive day for us, and I caved in and let Andy open his presents a day early since that's when we were celebrating with friends.

Saturday evening we invited a group of friends to go out with us. We were originally going to the Crawfish Fest in Old Town Spring, but the website was deceiving and made it sound like it was going to cost us $13 each to get in. Plus, it was a little bit of a further drive. So I cancelled those plans to stay local and go somewhere in Houston. When Andy's friend Brittany visited last month, we went to Big Woodrow's near the Galleria and they serve crawfish, so I thought that would work better. We still ended not having as many people were invited because of one reason or another. We still had a great time with Kristi, Andy's mom, Brandon and Joy.

We hung out there for a while, and then it was time for Andy's mom to head home. We exchanged presents in the parking lot across the street which was a little shady if you know what I mean. It made for a good story though.
Blair and Mike told us that we should stop by their house since they didn't make it to Woodrow's with us. Kristi mentioned ice cream, and there was a good ice cream place called Fat Cat Creamery on the way. I needed to get basketball pictures from Blair for the shadow boxes I'm making (more on that when they're complete) so it was a good idea to head over there. Now, about the ice cream... I'm not joking... The place was really called Fat Cat Creamery. All of their ice cream is made on site and even the waffle cones were homemade. I got peanut butter chip in a cone, and Andy got salted butter caramel. It was quite delicious, but I do love ice cream!

We stayed at Mike and Blair's for a couple of hours, and then headed home. While we were at dinner, Andy and Brandon decided on a last minute fishing trip for Sunday morning. So sure enough, Andy's alarm went off at 4:00 AM and they headed out on a fishing trip. The water was really low so the fishing wasn't very good. However, they did catch one fish in this small hole that still had water. It was a pretty good size too!
Sunday evening Andy and I finished off his birthday by going to Dekker's Mequite Grill in Fulshear which is just down the road from us. It's kinda pricey but they have this incredible outdoor area and the weather was just perfect. They even had live music which was awesome! Bottom line, I think Andy had a great 31st birthday weekend!
