Two years ago Andy and I purchased a treadmill via Craigslist. We had finally decided it was too hot to run outside during the summertime in Texas. I mean, seriously, we would have had to get up at 1:00am for it to only be in 80s with no sun if we didn't want to "die" in the heat during normal waking hours. We loved the treadmill!! It just wasn't durable enough for how much we used it, so we ended up selling it in a garage sale. Ever since then, we have mentioned over and over again that we needed to purchase either another treadmill or an eliptical.
Tuesday we broke down and bought an eliptical. Sears was running a special on their workout equipment, and we could finance it on a Sears credit card paying no interest for 12 months. Perfect deal! We chose the eliptical over the treadmill for a couple of reasons... One, Andy has horrible knees. So horrible that he should have had knee replacement surgery when he was 17 years old. The eliptical would be less impact and jarring on his knees and mine too. Second, a really good treadmill is 2000+ dollars and that's just not in our budget right now.
We went to the Sears in Humble, but they didn't have one in stock for us to take home that day. And of course, we didn't want to wait for them to ship it to us. So, we drove an extra 30ish minutes to Willowbrook Mall to pick up one (the only one) that was available. Andy was such a good sport and put it together that night. He had read some reviews that it took about an hour to put it together. Ha! They were lying. It took over two hours, but it's together and has already been used by both of us. We love it, even though it is crammed in our bedroom for now.
